Thin Lizzy最後のアルバムとなった"Thunder and lightning"に収録されたThe sun goes downのRemix版*1デモテイクを余すところなく収録したのが当CD。
CDを聞くとドラムパターンが最初に確定され、次いでベースラインが上に乗せられ、試行錯誤を繰り返し曲が形作られて行く様子が良く分かる。エフェクト、パンチイン・アウトなど実際発売されたシングルと違ったMixが幾つも試されているので違いを楽しむことも出来る。ギターソロも大幅に異なったアプローチがなされており、面白い。
が、一番の魅力はリズムトラックのみの収録*2が行われている点だろう。楽器が弾ける人ならもう一段楽しめるかもしれない。自分でCDを流しながら演奏出来たら良いだろうなぁ…orz。
